What to Expect

Not sure what therapy is like, or nervous about starting with someone new? That’s normal, and here’s the short version.

Therapy is a regular, confidential space to work through what’s weighing on you, at your pace and on your terms. You and your therapist figure out together what you want to focus on.

People come to us for all kinds of reasons. Some are navigating anxiety, depression, or the weight of burnout. Some are working through trauma, grief, or a big life change. Many come to explore their gender or sexuality, to prepare for gender-affirming care, or simply to be somewhere their identity is the norm and not unusual. We work with trans and non-binary folks, queer people, BIPOC clients, neurodivergent folks, and anyone who’s ever felt like they are usually an outsider. Couples, teens, and individuals are all welcome.
