Shutter Syrens knows that life moves fast, and it’s a challenge to capture precious moments as they pass with the hectic nature of modern life. From expecting or adoptive new parents, newborns, weddings, seniors, birthday parties, professional headshots, queer friendly boudoir, or family/partner(s) photos, Shutter Syrens promises a loving and empowering experience led by you that highlights you. Studio space is available with private changing space if needed, and we are willing to travel to you for on-location shoots (as negotiated).
Shutter Syrens is LGBTQ/NB owned and operated, driven to honor the unique journey of each person with respect. Shutter Syrens seeks to tell your story in ways that will make you thrilled to display the work in your home or business. They honor the people you call family, including those with disabilities, or of transgender/non-binary identity. We especially welcome working with families who may have not had a good experience in a more “traditional” photography setting, particularly if you have family members who are neurodivergent. Shutter Syrens knows from experience that you must be comfortable with us, and we will work with you to get there!
In addition to photography, Shutter Syrens offer video production services, graphic design work, photo restoration, 35mm film (negative/slide) scanning, and conversion of many forms of older videotape to modern digital formats. Shutter Syrens works with a fantastic imaging lab partners and can access a variety of competitively priced options for final products, including t-shirts, coffee mugs, display books, and much much more!
