If you’re tired of carrying everything on your own, constantly overthinking, people-pleasing, or feeling like you have to hold it all together for everyone else, you’re not alone. I work with teens, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, identity exploration, life transitions, and the messy process of figuring out who they are outside of survival mode. I have a particular passion for working with Black women, LGBTQ+ folks, trauma survivors, and anyone learning how to take up space without guilt.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and honest. I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up exactly as you are, whether that means laughing, crying, venting, questioning everything, or admitting you have no idea where to start. I will absolutely validate your experiences, but I also believe growth happens when we gently challenge the patterns that are no longer serving you. My goal is to help you better understand yourself while building the confidence to move through life in a way that feels more authentic and aligned.
As a Black woman, I understand that our struggles don’t happen in a vacuum. The ways we experience relationships, trauma, stress, identity, and mental health are often shaped by our families, communities, cultures, and larger systems. I strive to create a space where you don’t have to shrink yourself, code-switch, mask, or explain your humanity in order to be understood. Together, we’ll explore your experiences with compassion while recognizing the strengths and survival skills that helped you get this far.
My work is rooted in trauma-informed care and draws from CBT, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, somatic approaches, and EMDR-informed interventions. Whether we’re processing difficult experiences, exploring relationship patterns, strengthening boundaries, or rebuilding self-worth, I tailor therapy to fit your goals rather than expecting you to fit into a specific model.
